There are 4 rooms on the main floor of Kingston Road United Church. They are:
  • Sanctuary
  • Mitchell Hall
  • Mitchell Hall Kitchen
  • Library
All rooms on the main floor are accessible. There are two washrooms on the main floor, including one washroom that is wheelchair-accessible.

The main floor is ideal for hosting events. For example, Mitchell Hall might be used for a sit-down dinner, and the Library for a reception.

The Sanctuary is a beautiful space for worship, weddings, theatrical/musical productions, concerts, and seminars. The Narthex at the rear of the Sanctuary provides a convient place for greeting, ticket selling, etc.

It has the capacity for 550 people, and has a balcony at the back.

The Sanctuary has a modern sound system with multiple microphones. There are acoustical panels on the walls that provide crystal clear sound in the Sanctuary.

The Sanctuary also features a Steinway grand piano which is regularly maintained and tuned.

For parents with young children, we have a carpetted and gated area at the back of the church where their children can play during our service. Toys are provided for your convenience.

Mitchell Hall is a bright multi-purpose room that is available for meetings, social events, and exercise classes. It is connected to a full kitchen, which can be sectioned off if not required. It features white linoleum, bright windows and lights, round tables and an attractive wall hanging. Mitchell Hall also features a piano.

The Mitchell Hall kitchen contains all the modern conveniences such as a full fridge, stove, microwave, and industrial dishwasher. There is a double sink and ample counter space. There are plates, dishes and cutlery available. It opens up to Mitchell Hall if you need to cater an event.

The Library (also known as the Parlour) is a carpetted room lined with books. It offers many seating arrangements. There are up to 4 sofas and loveseats available in addition to single chairs. There are two longer tables in the room for meetings or buffets.

A large 60-inch TV is available that can be hooked up to a DVD player for movie viewing. There are cables available to connect a laptop to the TV using the VGA port for Powerpoint presentations and streaming.
